Sacred Heart Parish hosts the Saint Vincent de Paul Chapter of Webster and Dudley, a Catholic charitable organization that works to feed, clothe, house, and heal individuals and families.
As Catholics, we believe that serving those in need is a symbol of Christ's love for the world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “The Eucharist commits us to the poor. To receive in truth the Body and Blood of Christ given up for us, we must recognize Christ in the poorest, his brethren” (no. 1397). The Catholic Church remains the single organization that feeds, clothes, and visits the most people in the entire world.
If you could benefit from the assistance of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, please call their number at (508) 213-5536 and leave a message with your name and phone number, and a volunteer will return your call within the day. Please note that it's not possible to reach the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul via the main parish line.
